Adults volunteering to work with or around children must comply with the Archdiocese of Washington’s Safe Environment Policy and meet all Child Protection Policy Compliance Requirements before they may be actively involved in any of the school’s programs where children may be present. Parents who do not fulfill these requirements may not assist at school.

1. Complete and sign the Volunteer Application.

2. Visit www.virtusonline.org, to schedule and attend a Protecting God’s Children training session.  Detailed directions are here: How to Register on Virtus.

3. As part of your background check, you are required to complete Live Scan Fingerprinting. Please complete this Live Scan Application form for registration. There is a conveniently-located fingerprinting service center in downtown Bethesda. Additional location details are provided on the Volunteer Compliance Checklist.

4. Return the Volunteer Application, Virtus training completion certificate, signed policy form and background check results to the school office.  Please bring 2 photo ids (driver’s license, passport etc) to the office to be copied. You will be asked at this time to complete a background verification form, which only take a minute to complete.
