Volunteering at LFS

Volunteers are a vital part of our school community. Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of Little Flower run all HSA events and fundraisers. We encourage 100% volunteer participation from our school families. 

Please read below for an explanation of all the ways you can get involved at Little Flower. Scroll down further to select the events where you would like to donate your time.

We ask each family to:

  • Complete the Archdiocese requirements to be eligible to volunteer

  • Complete the Volunteer Interest Form linked below

Volunteer Opportunities at Little Flower School

In-school Volunteer Opportunities
For each of these opportunities, you can choose how often you volunteer (e.g. once a week, once a month):

  • Morning Arrival: Greet cars at drop off, direct traffic between school and church from 7:50 am to 8:10 am
  • Hot Lunch: Assist in serving hot lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:40-12:30
  • Recess/Lunch Duty: Monitor all recesses from 11:30-1
  • Library Aide: Re-shelve books, organize room, assist students in finding books

 

Room Parent - Organize the class Sign-up Genius, coordinate and collect class dues, purchase teacher appreciation and holiday gifts, and send weekly email communications.

Uniform Exchange - Assist in collecting, organizing, and re-selling uniforms 2-3 times per year

Substitute Teacher - Serve as a resource when the school needs coverage for an aide or lead teacher

Little Flower Open House - Volunteers set-up, greet, clean up, etc., for the school’s Open House for prospective students. Two dates: Fall 2025 and Winter 2026

Hospitality - Arrange refreshments for both Open Houses and HSA start-of-year meeting

Grandfriends Day - Assist the Grandfriends Day with the planning and execution of the day

 

HSA Events

Gala Fundraiser - Volunteers are needed for securing donors, marketing, decor, catering and budget committees. Also need volunteers for day-of including set-up, greeting guests, clean-up, etc.  Spring 2026

Wreath Sale - Volunteers coordinate with Christmas wreath vendor, take orders, and arrange pick-up. Dec. 2025

Parents Casino Night - Organize date, catering, tickets for school parents. Also need volunteers for day-of set-up, checking in and clean-up.
