AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS WINTER 2018

Beginners Art with Mrs. Rossomondo - Mondays January 22 – March 19 (No Class on Presidents Day)

K-1-2 grade students will learn how to draw different subjects in all different types of art mediums. During each class, students will create a step-by-step drawing led by Mrs. Rossomondo to create a one of a kind piece of Art! Students will get messy during some classes, so an “Art Shirt” is suggested, but not required. A small snack is provided at the end of class.

Math with Mrs. Sibilska - Tuesdays January 23 – March 13

The class will be a mixture of Hands-On Equations Program and math projects to stretch mind. Hands-on Equation uses manipulative pawns and cubes to take the students through beginning of algebraic concepts. The program is design to provide young children with a successful introduction to algebraic concepts and methods through a game-like, hands-on, concrete approach. Math projects are fun hands-on activities that are designed to stimulate thinking and put math concepts into practice.

Unsolved History II with Mr. Sorokes -

Tuesdays January 23 – March 13

There are thousands of mysterious events in world history that have never been solved, but Mr. Sorokes wants to find answers! Last year, students were presented with mysteries and given potential explanations. This year, the students will be tasked with picking an unsolved mystery from the annals of history, and researching the explanations over the course of eight weeks. The club will develop students’ research as well as creative writing skills in a fun, historical context.

Grades 6-7-8 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm $150

Tumbling with Mrs. Ross - Wednesdays January 31 – March 21

Students will be introduced to the fundamental skills of tumbling and acrobatics and will work to develop their strength and flexibility. Each student will be challenged individually according to their skill level.

Grades 1-2 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm (16-25 students) $150
