Volunteer Information

Work with the Principal and Parish Business Manager to plan and coordinate after school programs that can be offered throughout the school year.​​​​​​​

Assist with photographing and/or scanning work throughout the year and arranging items for year-end Art Show​​​​​

Join in working on the biggest event of the year. Decorating, solicitation, event logistics . . . volunteer now and committees will be formed later​​​​​

Join in community with one another to provide a male presence in our parish and lend support to the varied activities of our school and church. The Fathers’ Club is open to all men in the parish.​​​

Help coordinate with the golf club and assist in soliciting sponsors​​​

Join the Dads with this Father's Club fundraiser in March. Delivery help will be needed​​

Help organize orders and assist with the distribution when wreaths are delivered.​​​​

Help coordinate the details for this favorite parent event.​​​

Assist with set up, planning, and providing refreshments at selected school functions. Functions may include Open House events, Home and School Association meetings, and other special events.​​​

Serve as the liaison between homeroom teacher and class parents with special events and field trips. A meeting of all Homeroom Parents and the Coordinators will be held in the fall with specific details of responsibilities for the year.​​​

Assist the caterer with serving on Tuesday and/or Thursdays ​​​​

Help the Librarian with class groups. Volunteers assist with book selection. In addition there are also special projects throughout the year for which assistance is needed.​​​​

Assist with morning arrival from 7:55am to 8:10 am. This involves directing cars at drop off to assure the safety of our students.​​​​​

Assist the school in providing adult supervision during the noon recess from 11:30am - 1pm. At least six (6) volunteers are needed each day. (Some working parents arrange to come several times a year during their lunch period.)​​​​

Assist with monitoring lunch in the Parish Hall or tent from 11:30am to 12:20 pm. Assistance is needed Monday - Friday.​​

Serve as guides at the school’s Open House events on November 2 and February 1. The parent guide takes visitors on tour of the school and answers questions that the visitor may have regarding LFS. Our parent guides are our best PR people.​​​

Assist classroom teachers and others with developing class service projects​​​​

Help with the gathering and sorting uniforms and conducting sales at school several times a year.​​​​

Assist in taking pictures throughout the school year and help with the layout of the yearbook​​

A number of parish ministries draw heavy support from school families. These are wonderful opportunities to model faith life at home​​

Assist with classroom presentations, photography, videotaping, publicity, technology, etc.​​​​​
