Third week of Easter video message from Msgr Vaghi Family Faith in the Midst of Covid-19 This is a time when there has been a shift in the many ways our faith has been formed, nurtured and strengthened. Going to Church, attending Mass, receiving instruction in the faith, participating in sacramental celebrations are suspended for the time being. However, our faith can continue to grow and be appreciated within family life. It may be challenging, but it is possible. Gather as a family and consider how you could possibly implement some of these ideas.
PARISH INFORMATION
If you visit the church, please maintain a safe distance from other visitors. No more than 10 people in the church at any one time. Many options are available for participating in Mass when we cannot be present at the liturgy. View the Archdiocese of Washington list of live-streamed (and recorded) Masses and Prayers.
Reconsecrating the United States to Mary, Mother of the Church Archbishop Jose Gomez, president of the US bishops' conference, is inviting all US bishops to join him on May 1 in reconsecrating the US to the Blessed Virgin Mary in response to the pandemic. Archbishop Gregory will join in prayer and will be live streamed from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at 3 pm this Friday, May 1. "Every year, the Church seeks the special intercession of the Mother of God during the month of May. This year, we seek the assistance of Our Lady all the more earnestly as we face together the effects of the global pandemic," Archbishop Gomez said.
