FATHERS CLUB NEWS

 

Little Flower Fathers:

 

I am writing to give you an update on our many upcoming events.

 

First, the annual Little Flower Rummage Sale is set for Saturday, March 2nd from 9am to 2pm. This is a wonderful way in which our community gives back from our abundance to those who do not have as much. Doritt Carroll, who runs the Rummage Sale, is copied on this email. She needs assistance on March 2nd (volunteer for a shift HERE) but she also needs assistance in advance from those of you are handy and can repair loose knobs and similar items on donated furniture. Please contact her directly dorittcarroll@gmail.com if you can help, and she will arrange it with you.

 

Second, Ash Wednesday is March 6th and Monsignor's First Thursday talk is set for March 7th at 7:00 am in the Rectory Meeting Room. This is a great way to start off Lent!

 

Third, we have our annual Father-Son Communion Breakfast on Saturday, March 16th. Mass is at 8:15 am at Little Flower, followed immediately by brunch at Congressional Country Club. Look for the sign-up link soon. Our speaker this year is Gonzaga's head lacrosse coach and assistant athletic direct—and former Little Flower parishioner—Casey O'Neill.

 

Fourth, our Mulch Sale is the following Saturday, March 23rd. Be on the lookout for sign-ups for volunteering and ordering from our mulch heroes, Kevin May and Mike Zisa.

 

Finally, please be on the lookout for a late month happy hour at the request of esteemed long-time member, Danny Moore.
