PASTORAL REFLECTION Fr. Keith Burney At the beginning of Holy Week, Jesus is arguably at the very height of his popularity, with the adoring crowds welcoming him enthusiastically into Jerusalem. Yet, the rest of Holy Week unfolds with Jesus being gradually stripped of everything he has. |

Faith Direct allows you to support Little Flower and our ministries even when you are unable to join us for Mass. Enrolling in Faith Direct only takes a few minutes. You may also make a safe and secure one-time Easter gift online. Online giving is the most cost-effective way for our parish to receive your generous donations. |

LITTLE FLOWER CHOIRS If you are looking for a way to contribute to the liturgy, there has never been a better time to join one of our three liturgical choirs at Little Flower. The choirs will sing from April 24th until June 19th (Corpus Christi) and then break for the summer. Please email Zach Tilkens (ztilkens@gmail.com) for more information. The 10:30 Traditional choir has a call time of 10am on Sundays and sings repertoire to highlight the liturgy. The repertoire spans from Palestrina to Rutter and some contemporary sacred choral selections. The group rehearses in the choir loft each Wednesday night from 7:30-9 and includes many loyal volunteer singers with years of experience and knowledge, as well as trained section leaders. The 9am and 12noon contemporary choirs have a number of loyal volunteer singers with years of experience and knowledge and coordinate with the cantor and musical director each week to highlight the liturgy in a meaningful way. The music selections span contemporary genres with music from and influenced by the following genres: spirituals, folk, jazz, blues, praise music, etc. These singers meet 30 minutes prior to mass and do not have a weekly rehearsal. |

Holy Week and Stewardship - We are entering the last week of Lent, the most intensely religious week of the year. As good Christian stewards of the time and the graces we have received from God, we should also live this week intensely, reliving the most important events in human history. To assist us in this last leg of our Lenten journey, the parish has prepared a very full Holy Week schedule of activities (see above.)
Stewardship of our Faith and Spiritual Lives Whether or not you have already gone to confession during this Lenten season, the words of the Cardinal Archbishop of New York, Timothy Dolan, in his book Called to be Holy are especially timely. He writes that we should rely regularly on "the mercy of God (that is) abundant in the Sacrament of Penance." Cardinal Dolan further recommends daily examinations of conscience as a way to make regular confessions more fruitful. We praise God for our growth and ask Him to heal the faults we acknowledge. "During my whole life I have kept faithful to my practice of weekly confession." (St. John XXIII) |
