Community Service Event - SOME
SHOE BOX PROJECT!!!
Adults of all ages - families - teens . . . join the Little Flower parish community in helping SOME (So Others Might Eat) this holiday season. We will be decorating boxes and assembling gifts of essential items for homeless or poor children, men and women.
Sunday November 18 at 1:00pm (directly after 12:00pm Mass) in Little Flower Parish Hall
PARISHIONERS AND FRIENDS OF ALL AGES WELCOME!
Meet new people, enjoy some holiday spirit, and serve the needy in our community.
Even if you are not able to attend, we would welcome donations of shoeboxes (not toddler sizes or boot boxes please!) for packaging. They can be dropped off to the Parish Hall during school hours. Thanks to the generosity of the parish community and the Home & School Association, we will NOT need to accept item donations as part of this event. (But please remember that the parish is doing a collection of cooked turkeys for Thanksgiving and toys for Christmas. We are very appreciative of donations to those drives as well!)
For this event what is most needed is your (family's) TIME AND (gift wrapping and packing) TALENT!
Gift boxes will be sent to SOME who will hand them out to those who come for meals and services during the Christmas Season.
Come one, come all - we look forward to coming together as a community to help others in need!
If you would like to help with this project before the event, please contact Heather Gerth at email@example.com
